South Bay tennis players will compete at Ojai Tournament
Six high school boys tennis programs from the South Bay will be represented at next week's Ojai Tournament.
The boys CIF singles and doubles event will begin April 25.
In the singles field will be Bishop Montgomery's Dylan De Vera, El Segundo's Shane Hines, Mira Costa's Tyler Smildzins, Palos Verdes' Will Lokier and Peninsula's Maximiliano Roca.
The doubles teams of Ethan Dover-Edmund Lu (Mira Costa), Dolan Lemon-Keoni Brady (Palos Verdes), Edward Feure-Colin Bringas (Peninsula) and Kaito and Kento Henderson (South Torrance) will also compete in the tournament.
City Section locations for baseball semifinals, finals
The L.A. City Section has announced dates and locations for next month's baseball semifinals and finals.
The Open Division semifinals will be played at Pepperdine on May 21. The games will start at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The Open Division and Division I championships will be at Dodger Stadium on May 25 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Division I semifinals will be at Casey Stengel Field in Glendale on May 22 with the games played at 3 and 6 p.m.
The Division II and III championships will also be at Casey Stengel Field on May 24 at 3 and 6 p.m.
CIF-SS girls beach volleyball playoff update
The wild-round of the CIF-SS Division 2 girls beach volleyball playoffs were played Tuesday.

El Segundo defeated Gahr 3-2. Mayfair defeated Bishop Montgomery 3-2. Torrance swept Calvary
Chapel of Santa Ana 5-0. Today's first-round schedule: Division 1: Dana Hills at Palos Verdes, San Juan Hills at Redondo. Division 2: Millikan vs. West Torrance at ECC, El Segundo at Valley Christian of Santa Maria, South Torrance at Norco.
Redondo alum Riley Norman earns honor
UC Santa Cruz men's volleyball player Riley Norman (Redondo High) earned AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Region IV honors.
Norman, who was the 2022 Daily Breeze Player of the Year, led the Banana Slugs with 361 kills and 35 aces.
Beach volleyball clinic set
Members of the USC women's beach volleyball team will conduct a clinic Friday at Rolling Hills Prep High. Gates open at 3:30 p.m., followed by the clinic at 4 p.m.
The event is open to the public.
