Elizabeth F. (Gillis) Becker of Boulder, Colorado passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Foothills Hospital in Boulder. She was 94 years old. She was born December 6, 1929, outside of Peabody, Kansas to Kenneth and Bessie Gillis. She married Robert L Becker on June 13, 1948, in Mcpherson, Kansas. To this union were born five children: Cynthia, Dale, Jeffrey, Theresa, and Patrick. She dearly loved all her children. Elizabeth (Betty) and Robert (Bob) lived in Mcpherson, Kansas and had their first 4 children there, Cynthia, Dale, Jeffrey and Theresa. They moved to Colorado and had Patrick in Boulder. Betty worked as a homemaker for her husband and 5 children. She enjoyed gardening, antique collecting, traveling, loving her beloved animals throughout the years, and spending time with her kids and grandchild­ren. During her lifetime, Betty witnessed and lived through the Great Depression and The Dust Bowl, World War II, the Vietnam War, and 9/11. She will be remembered for her ready smile, her outgoing personalit­y, and her love for others. Betty had a way of getting along with everyone and was very easy to like. Betty always found the good in the people around her. Survivors include her children, Jeff Becker of Lyons, Theresa Becker of Boulder, and Patrick Becker of Longmont; 12 grandchild­ren; 9 great-grandchild­ren; 2 great great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert L Becker on September 26, 1998, her two oldest children, Cynthia Becker, and Dale Becker, and her two brothers, Sonny and Larry Gillis. There will be a visitation viewing on January 4th, 2024 at Darrell Howe Mortuary from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, 1701 W South Boulder Rd Lafayette, CO 80026. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 5, 2024 at Boulder Seventh-day Adventist Church, 345 Mapleton Ave, Boulder. Pastries and Coffee will be served starting at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th St, Boulder.
