Credit Union to provide help for resident homes

- By Nick Sestanovich The Reporter

Solano, Napa and Yolo County residents whose homes were damaged in the LNU Lightning Complex are eligible.

Solano, Napa and Yolo County residents whose homes were damaged or destroyed in the LNU Lightning Complex Fires will be able to apply for relief through Travis Credit Union’s Fire Relief Fund.

Those impacted will be eligible to apply in one of two categories. Residents who lost their homes will receive an amount to supplement insurance, helping to cover food and housing costs. Those whose properties were damaged will receive an amount to supplement insurance, helping to cover the cost of rebuilding or rebuying personal items.

TCU is also accepting donations and will cover all the administrative costs, so 100 percent of donations will go toward recovery efforts in areas ravaged by the fires, officials wrote in a news release.

The applications can be downloaded at Tcufund. org/lnu-fire, and applications will be processed from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31. A volunteer committee with representatives from the three counties will use public records to verify and evaluate the applications.

Completed applications can be emailed to Dimpel Sandhu, TCU’s fundraising and development director, at dsandhu@tcufund.org. They can also mail them to:

Travis Credit Union FoundationPO Box 1086Vacaville, CA, 956879998

Donations to the TCU fund can also be made at Tcufund.org/lnu-fire. All donations are tax-deductible.
