The victim had been assaulted and had extensive injuries including eyes swollen shut, swollen mouth, multiple bruises and a shoe print in the area of her rib cage. The victim refused to identify herself and could not be identified after an extensive search of all available sources and a neighborhood canvass. They were taken sometime over the weekend.

The vehicle pursuit was terminated due to concerns for public safety. Afterward, a witness to the pursuit called in saying the driver threw a gun out the driver’s window. Officers recovered a loaded .38-caliber revolver. Additional officers responded to assist and Lindland was taken into custody without further incident. It was learned that the Jail had just released tLindland who had been brought to the jail for public intoxication by West Sacramento police because he was combative and they didn’t want him in jail while he was being combative. Due to the fact that the woman’s status was unknown, and at the time Lampkin had reportedly made criminal threats, a SWAT/CNT call out was initiated. Ultimately, none of the reporting parties would agree to be a victim of any crime and the woman wanted to return to the residence. Since there was no warrant based on this information officers broke down the perimeter and left the area.
