CommuniCare Health Centers will also provide learning opportunities for students and staff of Woodland Community College to increase knowledge of healthy- living habits and the services available to them.

“Yolo County’s partnership with Woodland Community College on student health marks an important step forward in the continuing evolution of the college and in expanding vital services to students,” stated Chair of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors, Gary Sandy. “Most Woodland Community College students hold down jobs in addition to attending classes and too often lack access to health services.”

“This collaborative really highlights what we can do when we work together and focus on our mutual goals of increasing access to critical services like healthcare to all our communities and within our institutions of higher education,” stated

Woodland Community College President Dr. Art Pimentel. “Our students will have access to important baseline health services and will better served by this partnership.”
