Grand Theft: Employees reported two suspects stole $5,000in items and fled from the Ulta Beauty store at 2135Bronze Star Dr. on March 5at 6:48p.m. The subjects entered a gray-colored four-door sedan and headed toward the highway. There were not any investigat­ive leads to follow up on. A report was taken.

Foot Pursuit: An officer was conducting an extra patrol behind Motel 6when he spotted a known subject loitering about parked vehicles at 1564 E. Main St. on March 7at 9:55a.m. The subject, Humberto Tejada, a 38-year-old Woodland resident, held a brief conversati­on with the officer, but then decided to run. Tejada was arrested after a short foot pursuit. No officers were harmed. Tejada was arrested for resisting/delaying an officer and on a felony Ramey warrant out of Vacaville. Tejada was booked at the Yolo County Jail.

Occupied Stolen Vehicle: Officers conducted an enforcemen­t stop of a vehicle not displaying a rear license plate near North Street on March 7at 9:43a.m. Officers ran the VIN and were informed by dispatch that it was a stolen vehicle out of Suisun City. Thomas Nelson, 51-year-old Woodland resident, was arrested and booked at Yolo County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Theft/Vehicle Pursuit/Outside Agency Assist: Ulta personnel at 2135 Bronze Star Dr. called on March 10 at 1:27p.m. to advise that two known shoplifter­s were in the store who had just committed a large theft at the Yuba City Ulta store. Subjects ended up hearing the employee call police so they left the business without committing a crime. The vehicle was observed leaving the area and an officer attempted an investigat­ive stop based on the informatio­n from Yuba City. The driver of the vehicle refused to pull over and continued SB on I-5 at a high rate of speed for the conditions (rain, hail). The suspect vehicle spun out just prior to the Yolo Causeway and contact was made with the driver and the passenger. Product from the Yuba City theft was located in the vehicle. Statements obtained locked suspects into the Yuba City theft and they also advised they were head up I-5to Natomas to hit other stores. Due to medical concerns, the driver, Monaezha Crump a 24-year-old Sacramento resident, was cited and released on scene for the pursuit. Merchandis­e was collected as an outside agency assist and officers worked with Yuba City to determine what other assistance they needed.

Brandishin­g of a Firearm: On March 10 at 8:52 p.m. the victim reported three subjects approached him asked if he was a Norteno on North Ashley Avenue. One of the subjects brandished a black handgun at him. Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone out who matched the suspect descriptio­ns.

Brandishin­g of a Firearm: While officers responded to the above brandishin­g this one — located at 1016 Gibson Rd. — also came in to dispatch at 8:56 p.m. However, it appears they are not related. The victims had been dropped off at El Patio and were supposed to meet a friend. They saw a subject across the parking lot when they arrived and thought it was the friend. They walked toward the subject and whistled at him. The unidentifi­ed male lifted up his shirt and placed his hand near a pistol tucked in his waistline. While the suspect did this he asked them if they were “Chino.” The suspect walked to Sixth Street and Gibson Road and entered a vehicle on the passenger side and left e/b on Gibson Road. The suspect was unable to be located.

Assault with a Firearm: Dispatch received a call of a shooting on the 200 block of Palm Avenue on March 11 at 7:04p.m. The reporting person reported to have been shot at and was driving toward the Police Department for help, however, the suspect vehicle was following her. The victim briefly stopped at Palm Gardens and when she entered the roadway to leave the driver shot at her. The victim’s car had been struck and numerous casings and broken glass were found in the area. The suspect and vehicle were not located.

Assault with a Firearm: While investigat­ing the 240 Palm Avenue shooting, another shooting occurred in the 1000block of Sixth Street on March 11at 7:24p.m. where it was reported someone had been struck by gunfire. Officers arrived to discover no one had been shot. The victims were seated in a parked vehicle on Sixth Street just north of Cottage Drive. Two vehicles drove in close proximity to each other. The occupant(s) of one of the vehicles fired shots. The parked vehicle was struck twice with rounds. Both of the moving vehicles fled the area. Spent casings were found in the roadway in the 1000block of Sixth Street. The subjects continued to fire off rounds at Sixth Street and Gum Avenue after leaving. Officers collected spent casings at Gum Avenue and Sixth Street also.
