Deanna Louise Hinkle January 31, 1937 - February 20, 2021 Woodland, CA

-

Deanna spent her life being a contributing member of the community, and an active figure in everything involving her family.

Her family wasn’t limited to her husband and four children; over the years she was seen as a second mother to many kids; always a teacher in some way, and a positive influence every time. Over her life in Woodland, she was an active volunteer in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Woodland Swim Team and the Christian Church of Woodland. She was well-known as a “diehard” SF Giants fan who in more than 40 years missed listening to or watching less than a dozen games. She shared a passion for Dixieland Jazz music with her husband, and together they volunteered for many years with the Sacramento Jazz Society at their Jazz Festivals.

Deanna is survived by children, Harold (Ivy) Hinkle, Barbara (Bill) Collignon, Cyndie Nowell, and Tim Hinkle; grandchildren, Steven (Ashley) Hinkle, Richard Hinkle, Jeff (Kaitlyn) Collignon, Brian Collignon, Melissa (Jason) Boyer, Sammi Nowell, Annie Nowell and Harrison Hinkle; and sister, Susan Noble of Jackson, CA; nephews, Doug, Joseph and Scott Hemmingway; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in 2018 by her husband of 63 years, Milan Hinkle.

She passes on, having been an honest, tough, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother until the end.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 at Monument Hill Memorial Park in Woodland.
