Police report

- This is a synopsis of reports provided by the Woodland Police Department and does not include all calls or arrests or some cases which are under active investigat­ion.

Brandishin­g: On Aug. 27 at 2:05 p.m.Erik Centeno, 40, of Woodland, chased a person in the park while pointing gun at the victim.

Centeno was contacted at which time it was determined that he was in possession of an imitation firearm. Centeno was arrested for brandishin­g a replica firearm and booked at Yolo County Jail. Arrest Warrant /Possess Stolen Vehicle: On Aug. 29at 6:49p.m., an off-duty Agricultur­e Detective from Yolo County Sheriff Office saw a subject on a John Deere Gator, which looked out of place, near CR98 / West Cross Street. Before officers were dispatched, he updated the subject on the Gator was at Harris Park. Officers arrived a short time later and located the Gator, and the driver, identified as Nicholas Piel, 34, of Woodland. Piel had a local felony arrest warrant for fraud. Piel claimed he was the owner of the Gator and was in possession of the key. However, a registrati­on check of the Gator showed it had no listed owner. There was UC Davis stickers on the Gator, which were peeled off. UC Davis PD had a Gator reported missing, but the VIN did not match the one located. UC Davis was unable to get ahold of their fleet service to determine if there was a SVS error. Piel was booked for his arrest warrant. If UC Davis confirms the stolen vehicle, Piel will be add booked on 496d(a) PC. On Aug. 30, UC Davis confirmed the John Deere Gator was stolen from their campus. Piel was booked on a charge of 496d(a) PC, Possess Stolen Vehicle. The Gator was returned to UC Davis staff.

Shots Fired: On Aug. 30 at 9:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1400 Block of Stetson Street for a report of shots fired. All involved parties fled the scene prior to police arrival. Officers located shell casings. They collected video which showed two groups of individual­s in a large brawl. While officers were on the scene, a possible victim showed up to the Woodland Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. This case is continuing to be investigat­ed.

Indecent Exposure: Officers were dispatched to the 1500 Block of E. Main Street for a report of a male who was exposing himself in the parking lot to two females on Sept. 2at 2:05 a.m. The female victims advised that the male was also masturbati­ng. Arriving officers located the suspect, Nicholas Tarzia, 57, of Woodland, masturbati­ng behind a vehicle occupied by a female subject. Tarzia was arrested and later found to be on parole. Tarzia was booked at Yolo County Jail for indecent exposure and a parole hold.

HOST

HOST participat­ed in a neighborho­od meeting with the residents around Ralph Harris Park.

HOST participat­ed in several different department meetings and trainings this week.

HOST made 121 contacts, offered services to 43 of them of which two accepted services. There were 23 camps located and 14 camps cleaned up. There were 12 businesses contacted, 23 downtown patrols and four arrests made.
