‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ will return in December with 2 new faces

- By Peter Larsen

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” returns for its 16th season on Dec. 1 with two new housewives and one former one returning to the fold, Bravo announced on Thursday.

New Housewife No. 1 Dr. Jen Armstrong, whom Bravo describes as an “aesthetic MD.” She met housewives Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Armstrong last year.

New Housewife No. 2 is Noella Bergener, who recently had “her lavish lifestyle … ripped out from underneath her” in a divorce, according to Bravo. She apparently found a friend in housewife Shannon Storms Beader, and through Shannon came into the fold.

In June, Bravo announced the return of former housewife Heather Dubrow, who served her county’s housewives garrison from season 7 through season 11. Now that her children are older, she decided to reenlist for a second tour of duty.

Back when Dubrow‘s return was first revealed, the network also announced that housewives Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas would not return to the show.

The new season kicks off at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Bravo also notes that Armstrong is married with three children, an “alpha female” and an over-achiever. We will also apparently learn about a new part of her practice that specializes in “a unique magnetic brain treatment.”

As for Bergener, Bravo says she finds friendship with Shannon as she goes through a divorce and a death in her family. Her personal struggles will not keep her from “doubling down and speaking her mind even when it results in a fiery backlash,” Bravo notes.
