Battery with Injury: On May 6 at around 7:50 p.m., officers responded to Aisle1 Gas Station located at 1813 E. Gibson Road for a fight. It was reported an elderly male had been assaulted and was bleeding from the head and not moving. The suspect, Avinash Sund, a 33- yearold Sacramento resident, was located in the area. An investigat­ion identified Sund as the subject involved in the fight with the victim. The victim had significan­t injuries and was in critical condition. Sund was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (boots), Battery with Serious Injury and Elder Abuse and booked at the Yolo County Jail. Sund's charges were later updated to Attempt Murder. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Firearm): On May 7 at around 2:02 a.m., a shooting occurred at 1180 Matmor Road. No victims or suspects have been identified. Officers located rounds that impacted a parked vehicle and the exterior of two apartments. Officers are continuing to investigat­e the incident.

Arson: On May 10 at around 6:40 p.m., a citizen reported a palm tree was on fire on the 100 Block of W. Main Street. While on the scene, the embers from the palm tree blew over to the bowling alley and lit the structure on fire. The bowling alley was occupied at the time and was evacuated. Woodland Fire Department was able to put the fire out. Officers worked with Woodland Fire Department and the citizens in the area to develop a suspect who set the fire. The suspect was identified as Rebecca Bustamante, a 43-year-old Woodland resident. She was contacted in the area a couple of hours after the fire and arrested. She was booked into jail for arson. Reckless Burning: On May 10 at around 8:22 p.m., a citizen reported a male lighting a fire in the dry grass on the corner of Fourth and Main Street. Officers and Woodland Fire Department arrived and located a small fire near Jonathan Busch, a 35-yearold Woodland resident, Busch was detained and later identified as the male who set the fire. He was arrested and booked into jail for Reckless Burning.

HOST

HOST and parking enforcemen­t partnered to remove vehicles that were a long-term concern from three locations.

HOST made 44 contacts, and offered services to 16 of them of which two accepted services. There were nine camps located and two camps were cleaned up. There were 24 downtown patrols and seven business contacts made.
