Henry Monroe Seymour, of Kerhonkson, died Feb. 5, 2015. He was 82.

Henry was born on Aug. 14, 1932, in Ellenville, the son of Henry Charles and Hazel A. (Rider) Seymour.

On Aug. 24, 1952, Henry married Alice Stone at the Federated Church of Kerhonkson. Alice, his wife of 56 years, had passed away in 2008.

Henry proudly attended the State University of New York at Delhi, studying agricultur­e. He had worked at Channel Master in Ellenville from the time it opened through the time it closed as a maintenanc­e supervisor. He then continued to work with Schrade Cutlery. He was involved in 4H and Power Squadron. He loved boating on the Hudson River and enjoyed bowling. His family and his tractors meant everything to him and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Henry is survived by his children, Deborah Doyle and companion Byron Babcock of West Hurley, David Seymour and wife Marilyn of Kerhonkson, Suzanne Bush and husband Frend of Accord and Stephanie Lewis and husband Terry of Fairlee, Vt.; his grandchild­ren, Frend Benjamin Bush IV (Brandy), Alyssa Bush, David Wayne Seymour Jr., Tommy Kelly (Krista), Colleen Paes (James), Captain Jared Lewis (Kelsea) and Joshua Lewis (Brook); and his great-grandchild­ren, Addyson Faith Bush, Makalah Rose Quick, Danielle Paes, Daniel Kelly and Matthew Kelly.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebratio­n of his life is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in Henry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
