Isabelle Dunham HasBrouck, 93, of New Paltz

Isabelle “Izzy” HasBrouck, age 93, passed away peacefully at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine, on Feb. 6, 2015.

A lifelong resident of New Paltz, she was born on April 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Schoonmake­r) Dunham.

Izzy was joined in holy matrimony with Forrest HasBrouck on May 18, 1941.

Retiring in 1984 from her position at Barker’s Department Store in New Paltz, she was a member of the New Paltz United Methodist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 8645, New Paltz.

Izzy was predecease­d by her husband, Forrest; three brothers, Harry, Walter, and Lester Dunham; and two sisters, Lena Markle and Margaret Decker. She was also predecease­d by a son-inlaw, Pete Eckert.

Surviving are a son, Glenn HasBrouck and his wife Joan of Ocoee, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Eckert of Highland and Pamela Stevenson and her husband Steve of San Antonio, Fla.; two brothers, Roy Dunham, and Lloyd Dunham, both of Poughkeeps­ie; a sister, Laura Ellsworth of Kingston; 10 grandchild­ren, Ron HasBrouck of Binghamton; Denise Doris and her husband Ken of Chenango Forks, N.Y.; Glenda Brown and her husband Brendan of Buffalo; Dean HasBrouck and his wife Christine of Vestal, N.Y.; Luella Hanrahan of Endicott, N.Y.; Glenn Eckert and his wife Kirsten of New Paltz; Scott Eckert of Highland; Greg Eckert and his wife Laura of New Paltz; Michele Tellefsen and her husband Ed of Greeley, Pa.; and Jennifer Bolin and

More obituaries on Page A6 her husband Kyle of Tacoma, Wash.; and great-grandchild­ren, Ainsley, Allyson, Brittany, Brynn, Cecelia, Corey, Danielle, Derek, Forrest, Isabelle, Kendall, Kyle, Jaylee, Justin, Laynee, Lily, Mary, Nylee, Piper, Sarah, Vanessa, and Wyatt. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews and numerous friends both in New York and St. Petersburg, Fla., where she and her husband, Forrie, spent their winters.

When not busy enjoying quality time with her large extended family, Izzy could be found enjoying the outdoors. In addition to being an avid walker, she enjoyed biking, gardening and swimming. She also took great pleasure in watching her grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children enjoy her in-ground pool.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at the Copeland Funeral Home Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y., with the Rev. Bette Sohm, Pastor, New Paltz United Methodist Church, officiatin­g. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. Private cremation will follow at Poughkeeps­ie Rural Cemetery. Inurnment will be made at New Paltz Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the New Paltz United Methodist Church, 1 Grove St., New Paltz, N.Y. 12561, or the New Paltz Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 594, New Paltz, N.Y. 12561.
