• Army Staff Sgt. Daniel P. Morgan , a former Port Ewen resident, returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
He has been reassigned to the Division of Military and Naval Affairs as an infrastructure analyst.
He is the son of Nancy Morgan of Kingston and the late Benjamin A. Morgan.
Graduated
• Army Pvt. Jamar E. Camper , the son of Saugerties and Highland Falls residents and the stepson of a Newburgh resident, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Benning in Goergia.
During the nine-week training period, trainees received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training and chemical warfare. They also received instruction in field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions and core values.
Camper is a 2013 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. He is the son of Ethel Holliday of Saugerties, and Selwyn Camper of Highland Falls, and the stepson of Serena Johnson of Newburgh.
Re-enlisted
• First Sgt. John Russo of Accord re-enlisted with the New York Army National Guard.
He is serving with the 145th Maintenance Company.
