Unbeaten New Paltz claims Division I crown

New Paltz High turned away Roosevelt 4-1 Tuesday, remaining undefeated and clinching the Mid-Hudson Athletic League’s Division I boys tennis title. New Paltz is now 9-0 overall.

New Paltz High turned away Roosevelt 4-1 Tuesday, remaining undefeated and clinching the MidHudson Athletic League’s Division I boys tennis title.

Jay Gohel avenged an earlier loss to New Paltz’s Alessandro Mauceri 7-6 (2), 6-4 at first singles for the only win for (5-3) Roosevelt, but Noah Kalus led the Huguenots by handing Naveen Chowdry his first loss at second singles, 7-5, 6-2.
