Marie E. Larkin, 104, formerly of Colonial Gardens, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home.

Born Oct. 22, 1911, in Kingston, N.Y., she is the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Peppard) McSpirit.

Marie was employed as an office clerk for many years at W.T. Grant Company in Kingston, N.Y. She was a parishione­r of Saint Joseph’s Church, a member of the Colonial Gardens Senior Citizens and the Golden Age Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sirni of Winter Haven, Fla.; her grandchild­ren, Michael J. Sirni and his wife Cynthia of Rome, N.Y.; Matthew C. Sirni and his partner Aileen of Hurley, N.Y.; Megan Sirni Smyth and her husband Benny of Peachtree City, Ga.; and her greatgrand­children, Christiana and her fiancé Ethan, Jacqueline, Alex, Ireland, Tanner, Aidan, and Teagan. Several nieces and nephews survive.

Marie is survived by her granddaugh­ter-in-law, Amy Sirni of Millbrook, N.Y. Amy lovingly cared for Gram in her later years and comforted her in her final days. In Gram’s final moments, Amy’s touch and voice visibly provided peace.

Marie is predecease­d by her husband, John J. Larkin, who died March 16, 1963, and brothers Harold, Francis, Leo, and Vincent McSpirit and her son-inlaw, Michael J. Sirni.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral procession will form on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church. Burial will take place at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
