‘Cupcake Wars’ back at Columbia County Fair

‘Cupcake Wars’ returns to the 176th annual Columbia County Fair on Sept. 5 at 12:30 p.m. in the Midfield Arena.

Nancy Fuller, cook and host of Food Network’s “Farmhouse Rules,” officiates the contest, which judges taste, presentation and originality. It features prizes in savory and sweet categories for youngters 14 and under and adults 15 and older.

Entries, which must consist of fully cooked cupcakes on a disposable tray along with a recipe and list of locally-sourced ingredients, will be accepted for judging between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. in the Midfield Arena.

Entry forms and contest rules are available at the fair office at the intersection of state routes 203 and 66 in Chatham or online at www.columbiafair.com. Entry forms will be accepted through Sept. 3 at the fair office or by mailing them to Columbia County Fair, P.O. Box 257, Chatham, N.Y. 12037. For more information, call (518) 392-2121.
