Gregory Burhans, 41, of Jacksonville, Fla.
Gregory Burhans, 41, of Jacksonville, Fla., devoted father, loving husband and faithful servant, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 19, 2016.
Family was everything to Greg. He is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa Burhans, of Jacksonville; daughter, Trinity, of Kingston; son, Jonathan, of Jacksonville; mother, Arlene Burhans, of Kingston; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Frederick, of Ulster Park; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Burhans; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Delores JacksonBurhans; and maternal grandfather, Eugene Frederick.
Greg was a spiritual man with deep faith in the Lord. A Muay Thai instructor and salesman, he enjoyed teaching and practicing Muay Thai, as well as watching baseball games, especially the Yankees and Mets. He loved all animals, but particularly dolphins, alligators and his dogs, Chico and Karma. Greg was particularly fond of coffee and lots of it!
Greg was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., on April 5, 1975, and attended Saugerties High School. He married his soulmate, Melissa, on June 18, 2013. They were baptized together on Aug. 11, 2013. Greg will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched!
Services will take place at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 22 Livingston St., Kingston, N.Y. 12401, on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 3 p.m., and at the Springfield Improvement Association and Archives Building, 210 W. 7th St. Jacksonville, Fla. 32206, on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 1 p.m. All are welcome to come celebrate Greg’s life.
