Savona’s walks off with men’s Upper D win

Savona’s Pizza walked off with a 21-20 victory over The Painter in a wild Kingston Recreation League men’s softball Upper D Division contest.

KINGSTON >> Savona’s Pizza walked off with a 21-20 victory over The Painter in a wild Kingston Recreation League men’s softball Upper D Division contest.

Zach Nerone homered, smacked three triples and had a RBI, and Mark Ryder doubled, hit three singles and had three RBI to lead Savona’s.

Josh Fletcher homered, double and had four RBI to pace The Painter in the loss.

In Lower D Division action Schneiders Jewelers put up a three-spot in the bottom of the eighth to prevail 21-20 over Ulster Excavating.

Kyle Resso hit a home run, three singles and had four RBI and Jake DePetro homered and had two RBI to lead Schneider’s Jewelers.

Tom Alterio tripled to pace Ulster Excavating.
