A 23-year-old city woman who was struck by a vehicle on Bruyn Avenue on Tuesday has died, a city police sergeant said Saturday.

Ashlee C. Crescione died Friday evening at Albany Medical Center, apparently from injuries she received during the hit-andrun accident on Bruyn Avenue near Elmendorf Street, Kingston Sgt. Richard Negron said. He said an autopsy will be performed.

Crescione had been struck by an unknown vehicle at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Negron said there have been no arrests in the case, but that the investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kingston police detectives at (845) 3318404 or (845) 331-1671.

Crescione was dragged for a distance, but it was unclear whether she got caught on the vehicle or was holding on to it, Det. Lt. Thierry Croizer said previously.

On Feb. 11, 2015, Crescione had been struck by a CSX freight train as she walked next to the tracks just south of the Boice’s Lane

crossing in the town of Ulster, police said at the time, adding that they had ruled out her hearing being obstructed by the use of ear phones or a cell phone.

In 2015, Ulster police said the northbound CSX train sounded its horn as it approached Crescione, who was walking northbound next to, but not on, the tracks.
