“We dug ourselves a pretty big hole early with penalties, blown assignments and silly mistakes all day,” said Red Hook coach Bill Stutz, who saw the Raiders make mistakes they had not made the first three weeks. “Marlboro’s a really good team. You can’t make mistakes against a team like that and expect to win.”

Billy Williamson capped a 93-yard drive with a 1-yard TD plunge to put Marlboro ahead. DeSantis scored on runs of 4 and 3 yards to make it 21-0.

Nick Morrissey hit the first of two TD passes to Hunter Cole to get Red Hook on the board. An onside kick failed, and DeSantis cashed it in with a 34-yard scoring run.

Morrissey, who ran for a TD in the first half, threw for 172 yards, including 112 to Cole. He found his fellow senior for a 63-yard TD play in the third, but it was sandwiched around 5- and 46yard TD runs by Perugino to put Marlboro in command 42-18.

Perugino’s pick-six settled the game early in the fourth. Red Hook was able to score on a safety in the closing minutes.
