Robert C. Hoy, 80, of Saugerties

Robert C. Hoy died Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 80 years old.

Born Dec. 16, 1935, in New York City, he was the son of Charles and Esther Johnson Hoy.

He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen, on June 24, 2013.

Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 until 1961, he was a member of LamoureeHackett Post 72, American Legion, in Saugerties. Bob was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Centerville. He was also a member of the Saugerties Knights of Columbus No. 4536, where he was a Past Grand Knight, a former District Deputy and Past Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree Assembly.

Surviving family members include Michael Hoy, Betty Budik, Dawn Budik, Rebecca Eusepi, Barbra Budik, Linda Brown, Kathy Sudol, Patty McVeigh, Betty Cusack, Michael Sudol, Joanie Sudol and Bob Sudol.

A funeral procession will form at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at Buono Funeral Service Inc., Saugerties, N.Y., and then proceed to St. John the Evangelist Parish Center in Centerville, where at 10 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with full military
