KINGSTON >> Marilyn Jean Odell Piney, 75, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center.

Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Ullman Odell and Gertrude Shoemaker Augustine, and the stepdaught­er of the late Joseph Augustine.

Marilyn graduated from Kingston High School. She later married Fernando Piney and moved to Hyde Park, N.Y. She was a homemaker in Hyde Park, where she raised her children. Marilyn loved country music, movies, doing crossword puzzles and reading, especially the Bible. She also loved to visit Walt Disney World, her favorite place on Earth.

Marilyn is survived by her four children, Darryl Piney and his fiancée Leigh Coomes of Cairo, N.Y., Richard Piney and his wife Roseann of Hyde Park, Edward Piney and his wife Melissa of Connecticu­t, Denise Piney-Perez and her husband Arturo Perez of Sarasota, Fla.; six siblings, Carol Scarselli and her husband, Tony, Fran Tyler and her husband Doug, James Augustine, Bonnie Augustine and her husband Douglas Nikki, and Marjorie Zeigler and her husband Henry; and stepbrothe­rs, Bernard Augustine and Sylvester Augustine. Seven grandchild­ren, Stephanie, Kyle, Justin, Kody, Ashley, Colleen, Gabriel, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predecease­d by a sister, Gertude Yerry, and a brother, Joseph Augustine.

Marilyn will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 from 10 a.m. to noon.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Rev. Miroslaw Pawlaczyk, from Immaculate Conception Church, officiatin­g.

Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
