Stabbing lands man in hospital, woman in jail
An 18-year-old West Hurley woman was arrested about 13 hours after allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old man during a fight on Lincoln Street in the city, Kingston police said Wednesday.
Susan Mastrovincenzo of Pine Street, West Hurley, was charged with felony assault, according to police and court officials.
The incident was reported about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after a dispute escalated into a fight, police said. When officers arrived, they were met by people who were preparing to take the victim to HealthAllliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus, police said.
The victim, whose name was not provided by, later was transferred to the Albany Medical Center, where he was treated for a stab wound to the abdomen and remained in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Police said the weapon, believed to have been a knife, had not been recovered as of Wednesday afternoon.
Mastrovincenzo was arraigned in Kingston City Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to Nicole Murphy, the chief clerk at Kingston City Court.
