Cairo
· DWI: Peter L. Farrell, 48, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catkill at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday and charged with the felonies of driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent and aggravated drunken driving with a child, a violation of Leandra’s Law, and with the misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child and drunken driving. Farrell was sent to the Greene County Jail. Additional information was unavailable.
New Paltz
· Shoplifting: John Bruno, 58, of Francis Place, Tillson, was arrested by New Paltz police at 2 a.m. Friday and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Bruno is accused of stealing about $99 worth of groceries from the Tops store in New Paltz. He was released with a ticket for New Paltz Court.
Red Hook
· Shoplifting: Brittany A. Grosso, 30, of Red Hook, was arrested by Red Hook police at 9:40 p.m. Sunday and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. She is accused of taking $200 from a cash register at a local business. Police did not identify the business. Grosso was released with a ticket for Red Hook Village Court.
