Gabriele E. Mar­gules, 89, of Kingston, died, Tues­day, Sept. 27, 2016, at HealthAl­liance Hospi­tal Broad­way Cam­pus.

Born in Tachau, Cze­choslo­vakia, she was a daugh­ter of the late David and Rosa Zer­line Lein­wand Mar­gules. Gabriele worked for Harpers Mag­a­zine, Forbes Mag­a­zine and Arche­ol­ogy Mag­a­zine, be­fore re­tir­ing in 1989. Af­ter re­tire­ment, she worked part-time as a tour guide with Bosco Bel in Gar­ri­son and then the Se­nate House. How­ever, above all else, she was a free­lance artist who worked in pas­tel wa­ter­col­ors and pen and ink draw­ings.

Gabriele is sur­vived by many cousins and friends in the U.S., Hol­land, France, Is­rael and Brazil.

A Fu­neral Ser­vice will be con­ducted at the Simp­son-Gaus Fu­neral Home, 411 Al­bany Ave. on Thurs­day, Sept. 29, 2016, at 10 a.m., with Rabbi A.B. Itkin, of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment will fol­low in Well­wood Ceme­tery, Farm­ing­dale, N.Y.
