Gabriele E. Margules, 89, of Kingston

Gabriele E. Margules, 89, of Kingston, died, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.

Born in Tachau, Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late David and Rosa Zerline Leinwand Margules. Gabriele worked for Harpers Magazine, Forbes Magazine and Archeology Magazine, before retiring in 1989. After retirement, she worked part-time as a tour guide with Bosco Bel in Garrison and then the Senate House. However, above all else, she was a freelance artist who worked in pastel watercolors and pen and ink drawings.

Gabriele is survived by many cousins and friends in the U.S., Holland, France, Israel and Brazil.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at 10 a.m., with Rabbi A.B. Itkin, officiating.

Interment will follow in Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
