Liberty Harvest Festival and Chili Cook-off on Oct. 8

WHAT: Liberty Harvest Festival and Chili Cook-off WHEN: Oct. 8 at noon WHERE: Liberty Museum & Arts Center, 46 S. Main St., Liberty DETAILS: The festival will feature a vendor-packed sidewalk sale, a craft fair and live music all day, as well as the Chili Cook-Off and applesauce eating competition. The cook-off will have entries from individuals and local restaurants. A $10 ticket allows the bearer an unlimited sampling of chilies and to be a judge. Sampling of the chilies starts at 1 p.m. and continues until the awrds ceremony at 3:45 p.m. The applesauce eating competition begins at 3:30 p.m. and is limited to the first 12 people to sign up.
