On the move
Dean Lucera, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has been appointed by the Ulster BOCES Board of Education to head the Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Center in Port Ewen, N.Y. He succeeds Genna Suraci, who retired.
Lucera has been director of career, technical, and adult education programs at Eastern Suffolk BOCES, principal of Brookhaven Technical Center and assistant principal at West Babylon Junior/Senior High School.
Lucera received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Dowling College, a master of arts degree in liberal studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and completed a school district administrator program at the College of New Rochelle.
••• Amelia Caster, of Stone Ridge, N.Y., has been appointed receptionist of Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers Inc., of Kingston, N.Y.
She has 25 years of experience in client care and customer relations in the financial, hospitality, and human service industries.
••• James Hastings, of Kingston, N.Y., has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ulster Savings Bank, which has its headquarters in Kingston.
Hastings most recently was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan in Naugatuck, Conn.
He holds master of business administration degree in finance from the University of Washington in Seattle and a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind.
