Carol J. (Irwin) Davis, 69, of Stone Ridge, passed away after a long illness on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Health-Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, in Kingston. She was born in Ellenville Dec. 17, 1946, a daughter of the late Monroe and Edith Kuhrley Irwin.

Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Warren R. Davis; daughters, Kimberly Becker of Modena, Dorothy Bodie of Stone Ridge; four granddaugh­ters, Amanda Russell, Danielle Becker, Emily and Madelyn Bodie; great-grandson, Aiden Schoepflin; two sisters, Wendy Callahan of North Carolina and Edith Quent of Kingston; and many nieces and nephews.

Her son, Michael Davis, died May 3, 2016, and a sister, Susan Horvath, also died previously.

Carol graduated from Ellenville High School in 1965. After graduation, she worked at the Nevele and Fallsview hotels as a licensed hairdresse­r. In 1972, she married the love of her life and became a proud stayat-home mom. Her family meant the world to her. She spent most of her days happily cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed working in her craft room and cherished the time she spent with her grandchild­ren.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. The Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
