William W. Sigler Sr., 69, of Saugerties
William W. Sigler Sr., 69, of Saugerties, died Sept. 30, 2016, at Health-Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, in Kingston.
Born July 10, 1947, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Edward and Jessie (Johnson) Sigler.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked as an oil burner technician for Love Effron Oil Co. of Poughkeepsie for 20 years.
He was a member of the Saugerties Gun Club and the Saugerties American Legion.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and antique firearms, and was a fan of “Jeopardy,” the “Antiques Road Show” and boxing. He was a loving husband, father and friend to many and was known as a “Mr. Fix it.”
Surviving are his wife Marlene (Durant) Sigler; son, William W. Sigler Jr. (Susan) of Virginia; daughter Christina Payne and her partner Richard Kretschmer of Saugerties; brother James Sigler of Pine Plains; two sisters, Jessie Phillips of Hyde Park and Margaret Calabro of S.C.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Sigler Hughes
Calling will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Following cremation, inurnment will be in Mount Marion Cemetery, Saugerties.
