Wil­liam W. Sigler Sr., 69, of Sauger­ties, died Sept. 30, 2016, at Health-Al­liance Hos­pi­tal, Broad­way Cam­pus, in Kingston.

Born July 10, 1947, in Pough­keep­sie, he was the son of the late Ed­ward and Jessie (John­son) Sigler.

Prior to his re­tire­ment, he had worked as an oil burner tech­ni­cian for Love Ef­fron Oil Co. of Pough­keep­sie for 20 years.

He was a mem­ber of the Sauger­ties Gun Club and the Sauger­ties Amer­i­can Le­gion.

Bill en­joyed hunt­ing, fish­ing, and an­tique firearms, and was a fan of “Jeop­ardy,” the “An­tiques Road Show” and box­ing. He was a lov­ing hus­band, fa­ther and friend to many and was known as a “Mr. Fix it.”

Sur­viv­ing are his wife Mar­lene (Du­rant) Sigler; son, Wil­liam W. Sigler Jr. (Su­san) of Vir­ginia; daugh­ter Christina Payne and her part­ner Richard Kretschmer of Sauger­ties; brother James Sigler of Pine Plains; two sis­ters, Jessie Phillips of Hyde Park and Mar­garet Cal­abro of S.C.; nine grand­chil­dren and two great-grand­sons.

He was pre­de­ceased by his daugh­ter, Denise Sigler Hughes

Call­ing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Mon­day at Yadack-Fox Fu­neral Home of Ger­man­town.

Ser­vices will be at 11 a.m. Tues­day at the fu­neral home.

Fol­low­ing cre­ma­tion, in­urn­ment will be in Mount Mar­ion Ceme­tery, Sauger­ties.
