Turkey din­ner ben­e­fits Klyne Eso­pus Mu­seum

The Klyne Eso­pus Mu­seum will hold its “Clas­sic Roast Turkey Din­ner and All the Trim­mings” on Satur­day, Oct. 22.

Con­tin­u­ous serv­ings will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Re­formed Church of Port Ewen, 160 Salem St. The church is fully hand­i­capped ac­ces­si­ble. Take­out din­ners will be avail­able from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.

The din­ner, a com­mu­nity tra­di­tion, will be served by lo­cal and county elected of­fi­cials and can­di­dates in a demon­stra­tion of non-par­ti­san sup­port for a good cause. Tick­ets are $15 for adults and $8 for chil­dren un­der 12.

The mu­seum, on U.S. Route 9W in Eso­pus, fea­tures ar­ti­facts and ex­hibits de­tail­ing the his­tory of the town from Na­tive Amer­i­can set­tle­ment through the present. The his­tor­i­cal so­ci­ety also of­fers ac­tiv­i­ties of lo­cal in­ter­est in­clud­ing an an­nual sea­son ex­hibit, speak­ers pro­grams, and a com­mu­nity recog­ni­tion din­ner in the spring.
