Red Hook blanks Rondout
Red Hook High shut out Rondout Valley 3-0 Saturday to win its Homecoming boys soccer match.
Hudson Miller had a goal and one assist, Owen Sagerman and David Factor also scored and Liam Jantzen added an assist to lead the (7-2) Raiders in the Mid-Hudson Athletic League match.
“Our midfield — Colin Sullivan, Hudson Miller, Edwin Leon and Henry Tynes — did an excellent job of keeping the ball and creating opportunities,” said Red Hook coach Steve Sutton, whose team outshot the Ganders 35-3.
“We struggled breaking them down in the final third and Ryan Sheehan had a nice match in goal for Rondout.”
Sheehan had 18 saves for the Ganders. Red Hook goalkeeper Ryan Hobson had to make just one save.
