Members of the political action committee Fighting for Children, survivors of child sexual abuse and advocates staged a protest during Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s appearance at John A. Coleman Catholic High School on Monday. Participants say their protest was partially in response to Dolan’s opposition to the proposed Child Victims Act, which was not acted on by the state Legislature earlier this year. The legislation sponsors said it was intended to aid child sex abuse survivors.
