Anthony T. Pagliaro, 92, of Kingston

KINGSTON >> Anthony T. Pagliaro, 92, of Kingston, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at his home.

Born in Capaldo, Kan., he was a son of the late Rosario and Josephine Merenda Pagliaro. Tony served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having been stationed in Okinawa. He was the owner and operator of Crown Street Shoe Repair from 1948-1988. He was a life member of the High Woods Gun Club and Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386. Tony was an outdoorsma­n who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golf and coaching Little League baseball. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time at his camp in the mountains and the winter months at his home in Florida.

Tony is survived by his four children, JoAnn Trybulski and her husband Edmund of Doral, Fla., Anthony Pagliaro and his wife Valerie of Kingston, Ross Pagliaro of Kingston, Michael Pagliaro and his wife Danielle of Kingston; a sister, Mary Theresa Altomari of Kingston; and two grandchild­ren, Anthony R. Pagliaro Jr., and Sarah Trybulski. One great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Tony was predecease­d by his wife, Fannie Theresa Pagliaro, who died in 1982, and two sisters, Angelina DeCicco and Gloria Casciaro.

Tony will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 will conduct their service at 7 p.m.

The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.

Interment will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386, 708 E. Chester St., Kingston, N.Y., 12401.
