16U Fillies unbeaten in Showdown College Showcase

The Kingston American Legion Post 150 16U Ulster Fillies went 5-0 at the recent September Showdown College Showcase.

Tori Decker threw a complete game allowing five hits and one run, while striking out in a 2-1 win to close out the weekend. Shannon Bonewit and Alex McKearnin each had a RBI in the win.

Bonewit combined with Ashley DeKraai on a twohitter in an 11-0 shutout over the Manhattan Mayhem 18U. Kailey Collins blasted two homers in a 12-hit attack.

Jessica Chilcott (double, two singles), Bonewit (double, single), DeKraai (three RBI), Megan Peace (two singles) and Clair Filak (double) carried the Fillies.

Peace took the win as the Fillies opened play with a 5-1 win over the Danbury Crush.

Bonewit threw a complete game as the Fillies defeated the Chiefs Fastpitch 18U 8-3, while Decker also pitched a complete game in a 5-2 victory over the LI Extreme 18U.

The Fillies offense was led by Chilcott (home run, three doubles, two singles, five RBI), Alyssa Finno (three doubles, two singles, three RBI), Bonewit (home run, two singles, three RBI), Peace (two doubles, single), Sydney Bonewit (double, two singles), Vanessa Brandt (two singles) and Decker (double).
