Benefit for interpretive center on Oct. 9

WHAT: Fall Gala 2016 WHEN: Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. WHERE: Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center, 5096 Route 28, Mount Tremper

DETAILS: The gala is a fundraiser for the center and will feature local fare, libations, music, an auction and more. There will be entertainment by Spirit of Thunderheart, which features five native American drummers, Donna Coane, Debbie Fichtner, Brenda Martin, JoJo Griffin and Wynona Decker. There will also be music by Skye, featuring Celtic cellist Abby Newton, guitarist Lynn Hrdy and keyboardist Selma Kaplan. The center’s mission is to protect and foster the environmental, cultural and economic well-being of the Catskill region. Tickets for the event start at $65.
