STONE RIDGE >> Jessamy Hamilton Stemler of Stone Ridge, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 12, 2016, comforted by her loving companion John J. Schultz.

Jessamy was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 23, 1938. She immigrated to the United States in 1964 with her husband Ernest Stemler, who predecease­d her in 1986. Jessamy began her career in New York City working for Tiffany & Co. until she garnered the prestigiou­s position of sales manager for the Royal Doulton Co., where she dedicated more than 29 years of service. After her retirement, she permanentl­y relocated to High Falls where she thoroughly enjoyed life living on the Rondout Creek and making lasting friendship­s with many.

In addition to living in New York, Jessamy and John, her companion of more than 20 years, also enjoyed living in the vacation home they built together in Englewood, Fla. They took much pleasure spending their time relaxing in the sunshine, sharing long walks on the beach and gardening together.

Jessamy is survived by her fiancé, John Schultz and his children, Kurt Schultz and his wife Jessica of High Falls and Norah Mastro and her husband Louis of Tillson and their son Nicholas. Jessamy’s kind and devoted spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family as well as countless lifelong friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 2 to 4 p.m. for a memorial service on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2016, at George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Rev. Arlene Dawber will conduct her funeral service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place privately and inurnment will at the High Falls Cemetery, at a later date.
