Kingston High’s boys and girls cross country teams swept Newburgh Free Academy as the Tigers closed out their Orange County Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n cross country dual meet season.

Kingston High’s boys and girls cross country teams swept Newburgh Free Academy as the Tigers closed out their Orange County Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n cross country dual meet season.

The Tiger girls won for the first time this season, defeating NFA 21-36, while the boys prevailed 16-47 to go to 3-1 on the year.

Grace Regan won her race in 22:18 with Autumn Spyhalsky (22:18) and Maggie Noe (22:19) barely a step behind in second and third place, respective­ly.

Also running for (1-3) Kingston were Clara Sensini (seventh, 23:36), Cindy Jiang (eighth, 23:58), Sydney Miller (11tyh, 25:06) and Kayla Ajiataz (17th, 27:58).

The Tigers captured the top four spots in the boys race in much the same way with Jayson Hines crossing the line just before Aidan Lancer with both clocking in at 18:09. Robert Becker was one second back in

Also competing for Kingston were Bailey Burkland-Ryan (sixth, 18:40), Eddy Zajac (seventh, 18:45), Bradley Hack (eighth, 18:51), Gio Melchionne (13th, 19:38), Matt Krom (19th, 20:28) and Cole Elmendorf (20th, 20:46).
