Kingston medals at Brown In­vi­ta­tional

Kingston High’s Robert Becker and Jayson Hines both placed in the top 10 Satur­day in Brown Univer­sity’s an­nual High School In­vi­ta­tional cross coun­try race at Mau­rice K. God­dard State Park.

Becker fin­ished five in the 3.1-mile race in 15:27 and Hines ran a 15:33 to take sev­enth in the Boys Cham­pi­onship race. Both medaled by plac­ing in the top 20.

Kingston was sev­enth out of 10 teams with 152 points. Round­ing out the Tiger con­tin­gent were Ai­dan Lancer (28th, 16:40), Bai­ley Burk­land-Ryan (59th, 17:36), Johnny Lough­lin (61st, 17:47), Bradley Hack (63rd, 17:55) and Gio Mel­chionne (68th, 18:21).

Kingston’s girls were 17th in a 22-team field in the Var­sity Divi­sion 2 (large school) race with 363 points. Grace Re­gan placed 38th in 19:57.97 to lead the Tigers. She was fol­lowed by Cindy Jiang (49th, 20:07.03), Mag­gie Noe (61st, 20:35.25), Au­tumn Spy­hal­sky (107th, 21:42.14), Clara Sensini (115th, 21:55.45), Thea Ko­valeski (124th, 22:17.09) and Livi Lon­gendyke (135th, 22:54 .84).

The Tigers are back in ac­tion next Satur­day, host­ing their Kingston Fall Fes­ti­val in­vi­ta­tional at the Miller Mid­dle School in Lake Ka­trine.
