Bryan Stagz’s goal in the sev­enth minute of over­time pow­ered Roo­sevelt High past Ar­ling­ton B 2-1 in a non-league boys soc­cer match.

Af­ter 64 min­utes of score­less play, Fer­nando Lau­re­les put the (11-2) Pres­i­dents on the board with his first var­sity goal be­fore Kyle Traver kicked in the equal­izer for the Ad­mi­rals two min­utes later.

Markese Shelby and Bran­don Gra­cias con­trib­uted as­sists in the win for Roo­sevelt.

“Fresh­man Fer­nando Lau­re­les was out­stand­ing the mid­field for us, scor­ing his first var­sity goal and cre­at­ing many chances,” Roo­sevelt Coach Daniel Hof­fay said.

Ryan Diehl had six stops for the Pres­i­dents, while Thomas Cor­nell made nine saves in the loss.
