Accident in New Windsor lands driver, passenger in ICU
Two people were admitted to a hospital intensive care unit after the car they were in went off a road early Tuesday and landed on top of some construction equipment, according to the New Windsor Police Department.
The accident occurred at 4:45 a.m. when a car driven by Quentin Swain, 30, of New Windsor, failed to negotiate a turn on Farmstead Road, town police said. They said the car came to rest on top of construction The scene of Tuesday’s accident equipment on the property at 25 Blooming Grove Turnpike.
Swain and his female passenger, whose name was not provided, were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital and admitted to the ICU, police said. The nature of their injuries was not disclosed.
Police did not say what might have caused the accident.
