A Tuesday story about the city of Kingston’s 2017 budget should have stated the salary for mayor would be unchanged at $75,000, comprising $60,000 from the mayor’s office line and $15,000 from the sewer fund. The sewer fund figure was omitted. Also, the homestead tax rate is proposed to be $10.10 per $1,000 of assessed property value, and the budget includes $415,000 in parking meter revenues, a 59.6 increase from 2016. The figure was incorrectly identified as an expense. The New Paltz Town Board at 7:15 p.m. Thursday will conduct a public hearing on adopting a law to override the state property tax levy cap and at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 will conduct a public hearing on a proposed moratorium on building applications for a section of state Route 299. The date and time of the moratorium hearing were incorrectly reported in stories published Sept. 25 and Oct. 15. The name of Pramilla Malick, the Democratic candidate in New York’s 42nd Senate District, was incorrect in a story published Tuesday.
