Rhinebeck sweeps Newburgh

Rhinebeck High held off Newburgh Free Academy to earn a hard-fought 26-24, 27-25, 25-15 sweep of a non-league volleyball match Monday. Anna Booz (18 assists, 10 service points, five aces, two digs), Brooke LaRoche (nine kills, three blocks, eight digs, six points, two aces) and Mikaela Holt (13 digs, seven points, two aces, two kills) paced Rhinebeck. Newburgh was led by Chrolette Martin (16 assists, eight digs), Paige Barbara (seven kills, 15 kills) and Sabrina Myers (10 kills, two blocks, four aces).
