Super typhoon hits: A resident reinforces his flooded home Thursday at the height of Super Typhoon Haima, which lashed Narvacan township, Ilocos Sur province in the Philippines. Haima slammed into the northeastern Philippine coast late Wednesday. So far, seven deaths have been reported. At least 100,000 people evacuated.
