Legoland developer must revise impact statement
The town Planning Board has voted unanimously to return a draft environmental impact statement to the developer of a Legoland amusement park for more work.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown said the Goshen Town Board at its meeting on Thursday night asked Merlin Entertainments to further address the issues of traffic, peak volumes, noise pollution, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and air quality. The board said Merlin hasn’t addressed those issues to the point where the statement could be released to the public and agencies.
An attorney for Merlin said the developer will respond and resubmit a new impact statement.
The proposed amusement park is to be built on 153 acres and also includes plans for a 250room hotel. It’s based on the popular plastic construction toy.
