2 men charged in drug sweep still at large

Two of the 46 peo­ple charged in an Oct. 13 drug sweep by fed­eral and lo­cal law-en­force­ment agen­cies at nu­mer­ous lo­ca­tions in Kingston and Pough­keep­sie re­main at large, ac­cord­ing to the Ul­ster Re­gional Gang En­force­ment Nar­cotics Team.

Au­thor­i­ties are look­ing for Lashawn J. Brick­house, 28, and Mau­rice Wood, 31, both of Kingston, UR­GENT said.

Wood is wanted for the felony of pos­ses­sion of heroin with in­tent to dis­trib­ute. The charges pend­ing against Brick­house were un­avail­able.

In un­re­lated cases, UR­GENT is at­tempt­ing to lo­cate Alexa M. Ste­fanchik, 25, of Hopewell Junc­tion, and Rack­ish G. Salmon, 32, for­merly of Pough­keep­sie.

Ste­fanchik is be­ing sought in con­nec­tion with a pros­ti­tu­tion in­ves­ti­ga­tion in the town of New Paltz. She al­legedly pro­vided of­fi­cers with the name of a rel­a­tive at the time of her ar­rest and then failed to ap­pear in court to an­swer the charges, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease. There is a bench war­rant for her ar­rest for the felony of of­fer­ing a false in­stru­ment for fil­ing, among other charges.

Ste­fanchik also is wanted by Pough­keep­sie and Fishkill po­lice.

Salmon was in­dicted by an Ul­ster County grand jury for felony drug sales, ac­cord­ing to UR­GENT.
