Delphine Louise Falk, age 78, of Palenville, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Kingston Hospital.

She was born June 19, 1938 in the Bronx, the daughter of the late George and Frances (Henne) Koch.

Delphine married Floyd H. Falk on June 18, 1960 and they made their home in Birchwood Park, Palenville for the past 56 years. She was a Girl Scouts Brownie Leader and member of the Rowena School PTA. She was an employee of Catskill Central Schools for over 25 years prior to her retirement.

Delphine is best known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies. She loved baking and always had a supply of cookies for the neighborho­od children. She sold Avon products for many years. She was a member of Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church of Palenville; the Palenville and Greene County Fire Department­s Ladies Auxiliarie­s for many years; and Town of Catskill Senior Citizens Club. Since retirement, Delphine enjoyed her winters in Florida, making many friends along the way.

In addition to her loving husband Floyd of Palenville, Delphine is also survived by her children, Paul Falk and wife Annette of Plantsvill­e, Connecticu­t; Dawn Scannapiec­o and husband Jim of Catskill; five grandchild­ren, Jim and Jesse (Katie Salierno) Scannapiec­o, Karen, Julie and Christophe­r Falk; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Relatives and friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Traver & McCurry Funeral Home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church, Route 32A, Palenville. Interment will follow at Palenville Cemetery.
