Del­phine Louise Falk, 78, of Palenville

Del­phine Louise Falk, age 78, of Palenville, died Wed­nes­day, Oct. 26, at Kingston Hos­pi­tal.

She was born June 19, 1938 in the Bronx, the daugh­ter of the late Ge­orge and Frances (Henne) Koch.

Del­phine mar­ried Floyd H. Falk on June 18, 1960 and they made their home in Birch­wood Park, Palenville for the past 56 years. She was a Girl Scouts Brownie Leader and mem­ber of the Rowena School PTA. She was an em­ployee of Catskill Cen­tral Schools for over 25 years prior to her re­tire­ment.

Del­phine is best known for her home­made choco­late chip cook­ies. She loved bak­ing and al­ways had a sup­ply of cook­ies for the neigh­bor­hood chil­dren. She sold Avon prod­ucts for many years. She was a mem­ber of Simp­son Me­mo­rial United Methodist Church of Palenville; the Palenville and Greene County Fire De­part­ments Ladies Aux­il­iaries for many years; and Town of Catskill Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Club. Since re­tire­ment, Del­phine en­joyed her win­ters in Florida, mak­ing many friends along the way.

In ad­di­tion to her lov­ing hus­band Floyd of Palenville, Del­phine is also sur­vived by her chil­dren, Paul Falk and wife An­nette of Plantsville, Con­necti­cut; Dawn Scan­na­pieco and hus­band Jim of Catskill; five grand­chil­dren, Jim and Jesse (Katie Salierno) Scan­na­pieco, Karen, Julie and Christo­pher Falk; and many cousins, nieces and neph­ews. She will be greatly missed by her fam­ily and many friends.

Rel­a­tives and friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. Sun­day at Traver & McCurry Fu­neral Home, 234 Jef­fer­son Heights, Catskill.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held 2 p.m. Mon­day at the Simp­son Me­mo­rial United Methodist Church, Route 32A, Palenville. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Palenville Ceme­tery.
