Christopher J. Bowers, of Kingston, N.Y., an account executive at The Reis Group, also of Kingston, has been designated a Certified Professional Insurance Agent by the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society.
He completed three insurance success seminars. The designation is intended to reflect professionalism, commitment to sales training and results, and technical knowledge. The designation requires biannual continuing education.
••• Laura Fleming, of Rosendale, N.Y., has joined the Kingston, N.Y., office of The Spiesman Group, Weichert Realtors.
•• • Philip E. Masquelette, who maintains a residence in Kingston, N.Y., has been named senior vice president and chief risk officer of Ulster Savings Bank and will work at the Kingston headquarters.
Masquelette will be responsible for oversight of all bank risk management functions, including the legal and compliance departments.
He previously was vice president and risk manager at Bankwell in Bridgeport, Conn., was first vice president and audit/compliance officer at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan in Naugatuck, Conn., and was senior attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
Masquelette holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Rhode Island, a law degree from the University of Houston and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Tulane University in New Orleans.
