Howard Henry Hotaling, 77, of Ancram
ANCRAM >> Howard Henry Hotaling, Jr., 77, of Elsohn Road in Ancram, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at his residence.
A life long area resident, he was born on Jan. 12, 1939 in Copake, N.Y., to the late Howard H. and Idela (Turpening) Hotaling, Sr.
Howard was a longtime employee for Kimberly Clark at the Ancram Mill.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was a life member of the Cadby – Shutts VFW Post #7552 of Hillsdale, N.Y.
Howard was a member of the International Paperworkers Union and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
On Jan. 20, 1984 in Ancram he married Dorothea (Gransbury) Hotaling who survives him at home.
Surviving besides his wife are his children, Marsha Mills of Long Island, N.Y., Michael Hotaling of Hillsdale, N.Y., Tammy Hotaling-Hasbrouck of Greenport, and Tina Garcia of San Antonio, Texas. Also his grandchildren, Matthew and Gregory Mills, Lindsie and Melissa Hotaling, Michael Durant, Sr., Matthew, William III and Tayla Sill, Mandy Hasbrouck and Martin Kellerhouse, and great-grandchildren, Breanna and Sophia Durant. In addition he leaves his siblings, Joseph Hotaling of Hudson, N.Y., and Della Hotaling of Chico, Calif.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Hotaling; a granddaughter, Melody Hasbrouck; along with siblings, Leroy, Walter and Norma.
Friends are invited and may call on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, N.Y.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Phesay officiating.
Interment with military honors will be in the Copake Cemetery.
