Charles J. Naccarato, 95, of Saugerties, formerly of Kingston, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at HealthAlli­ance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Louis and Pasquelina Sottile Naccarato.

Charlie was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

He was a tailor in Kingston for many years, starting with Kingston Knitting Mills and then working for himself. He was a member of the Scotch Mountain Gun Club and a former member of the St. Mary’s Benevolent Society. Charlie loved life and was very family-oriented.

Charlie is survived by his two sons, Charles V. Naccarato and his wife Henrietta of Highland, and Kevin J. Naccarato and his wife Barbara of Saugerties; four grandchild­ren, Charles, Jaime, Kyle and Perri; and four great-grandchild­ren, Melody Rae, Victoria, Andruw and Jonah. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Charlie will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church.

Interment, with military honors by JoyceSchir­ick Post 1386 Color Guard, will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
