Charles J. Naccarato, 95, of Saugerties
Charles J. Naccarato, 95, of Saugerties, formerly of Kingston, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston.
Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Louis and Pasquelina Sottile Naccarato.
Charlie was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a tailor in Kingston for many years, starting with Kingston Knitting Mills and then working for himself. He was a member of the Scotch Mountain Gun Club and a former member of the St. Mary’s Benevolent Society. Charlie loved life and was very family-oriented.
Charlie is survived by his two sons, Charles V. Naccarato and his wife Henrietta of Highland, and Kevin J. Naccarato and his wife Barbara of Saugerties; four grandchildren, Charles, Jaime, Kyle and Perri; and four great-grandchildren, Melody Rae, Victoria, Andruw and Jonah. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Charlie will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church.
Interment, with military honors by JoyceSchirick Post 1386 Color Guard, will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
