Margaret ‘Marge’ Williams, 93, of Saugerties

Margaret “Marge” Williams, 93, of Montgomery Street, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at the Golden Hill Nursing Center, Kingston, N.Y.

Born Dec. 5, 1923, in Saugerties, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delia Law Underhill. A lifetime area resident, she loved her home and the health care she received for over 13 years from Dr. Chester Robbins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, in 1988, and her dear friend, Chick Scrodanus. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Vanucci and Bernadette Schmaling, both of Saugerties; three grandchildren, Tammy Reed, Talia and Jason Hinchey; and her great-grandchildren, Alan Goodwin, Ariana Reed and Josiah Christopher Cahill.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
